Austrian SDH Plant wins 2nd Prize of Esco Award
The Austrian solar district heating plant ‘Fernheizwerk Graz’ was awarded the 2nd prize of the ESCO Award at the EnEff district heating fair in Frankfurt, Germany. It was awarded for both the technical and the financial solutions.
New incentive for district heating in Baden-Württemberg

Since January 2016, 100 m² of solar thermal collectors feed their heat production in the district heating net of Jena. The plant feeds decentrally in the district heating network without need for a storage.
Germany’s largest solar district heating plant soon in Senftenberg
With 8 300 m², the solar district heating plant of Senftenberg will be the largest in Germany and the largest evacuated tube collector plant in the world. The plant will be built within the next six months.
Nine European regions launched the solar district heating project ‘SDHp2m…from policy to market’
The kick-off meeting from the Horizon 2020 project SDHp2m took place on 22nd and 23rd February in Erfurt, Germany. It was hosted by the Thuringian Ministry for Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation, also partner in the project.
