This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 691624
This workshop will be organized during the EU Sustainable Energy Week (18-22 June 2012). Representatives of local authorities and enterprises are invited to discuss with experts how solar district heating can contribute to a sustainable and renewable heat supply for cities and villages.
The SDH workshop ‘Zero Emission Heat Supply to Cities and Villages’, organized by Euroheat & Power and the SDHtake-off project partners, will present to market actors, representatives of local authorities and policy makers opportunities and measures for improving the market and policy boundary conditions for solar district heating. It will be discussed how to use solar district heating as sustainable and renewable heat supply technology for communities and how to integrate and extend the use of solar heat in already existing district and block heating systems.
Technical experts and plant operators from frontrunner countries but also from new learning countries will present their experiences with solar district heating. Representatives of District Heating Associations will inform how the IEE project SDHtake-off and its follow-up project SDHplus support interested communities and market actors.
The event will take place on June 19th 2012 in Brussels in the frame of the EU Sustainable Energy Week, see also the event’s page. For registration please contact Euroheat & Power, Silke Schlinnertz, email@example.com.
