The first Solar District Heating Conference ‘Solar District Heating - Technical solutions, urban planning and business models’ will take place in Malmö, Sweden on 9-10 April 2013.
For the first time, a two-day conference will deal exclusively with solar district heating. The conference targets district heating actors, local authorities, urban planners, as well as housing actors and solar industries. It is intended to involve Europe´s most experienced designers, contractors and operators, as well as experts in urban planning, and will focus on two main topics. On the one hand technical solutions: system design and evaluation (heating & cooling), large collector arrays, heat storage and related components and aspects (controls, absorption chiller, heat pumps, pipes, etc.). On the other hand urban planning and business models: energy policy and solar integration, energy and area planning, ESCO (Energy Service Companies), third party agreements, net metering and building energy performance (EPBD).
