The Global Energy Award aims at recognizing the achievements of cities and communities across the globe that demonstrate local district energy leadership in providing clean and sustainable energy solutions. Twenty-five cities or plants have applied for this year’s third edition, among them three solar district heating systems: District Energy St. Paul (USA), Princess Noura University for Women of Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and the city of Marstal (DK) with the Sunstore 4 project.
