Dear Reader,
Heating and cooling becomes more and more relevant on the political agenda for the energy transition, both in Brussels and at national level in several member countries. In the coming years we can expect a higher political pressure on the decarbonization of the heating and cooling sector leading to an increasing need for alternative and clean heat generation technologies. In many situations large-scale solar thermal will be one advantageous option, which heat suppliers will assess and - when feasible - integrate into their district heating systems. Project presentations and technical excursions of our last week’s International Solar District Heating Conference in the Danish city of Billund showed in a convincing way that large-scale solar thermal is ready to deliver and to contribute to the future heating and cooling supply. Enjoy reading more about the conference and new projects below and don’t hesitate to contact us for any further information!

Sunny Regards!
